There are dozens of great animes that are unknown, most of them are not even mention in this thread. Most die hard Anime watchers would consider the Animes that are mention in this thread shitty(shounen/mainstream), apart from some.

I mean that not all animes are for kids, there are many animes that will cater the needs of all audiences, animes that spits in the face of the Naruo's and the Inuyasha's. And some has some powerful plot too, puts Hollywood to shame."
I've only recently really started expanding my anime horizens, but I think it's safe to say a lot of the animes mentioned in this thread aren't shitty. If you find animes like Kanon and Air to be shitty, then what you're watching must be unbelievably good, because I loved those two. "
