Got Judgment for Christmas and I am currently at about 28 hours in on chapter 6. Love it for the most part, though I am a bit sad about the lack of karaoke. Have to agree with Alex - the Yakuza/Judgment world is the video game equivalent of comfort food for me. :]

Also Baba is You in short bursts, and I am indeed an idiot and a genius.

Kind Words - in my experience (around 2 hours worth according to Steam, got it around Christmas) still defying the odds by being 100% wholesome and 99.5% earnest. Not much to it, but for a quick burst of goodwill it works.

Definitely seems specifically tied to someone recommending one of your lists.

I don't think so, as I have no lists (and no current notifications) but I am getting the same error. Can't say how long it has been going on for as I rarely get notifications and just checked now because of this thread. Matter of fact, I think the last notification I got was months ago as I am not very active. I'm on Chrome too...

I tend to have a huge backlog and be several years behind so...

Horizon Zero Dawn by a mile for most fun

I've been playing Stardew Valley since it was released on PC, and it continues to be my go-to for a little relaxing fun whenever I am stressed. I've played a lot this year.

I would say it depends on your taste in games/host sense of humor. But I will say watching the first 3-4 eps of Beast in the East is what finally convinced me to get a ps4 and get into the Yakuza series which I now love with great passion...

But also Contradiction is relatively short and hilarious, and that other terrible FMV game - the one with the crazy? psychologist and the couple with the tragic and weird backstory... [edit - Tender Loving Care was the name of the crazy FMV game]

Life is Strange was really good, but I would say only if you enjoyed the game itself- if you don't/don't think you would like the game it would just frustrate

Pretty much any extended, multi-stage boss/end fight. If it takes more than a few minutes, my anxiety/dread of failing and having to repeat is sure to kick in. For example I am currently in the middle of Horizon Zero Dawn's end game sequence and my palms were more than a bit moist by the end of my last session.

P5 was my first Persona game, so I'm in no way tired of the formula and would definitely play a P6 marketed as just the next P5 game. Though I did rage quit 2/3 of the way through after a wonky response to a cover position change had me roll though a door and into an encounter instead of to the next cover position. During which my party wiped. Twice in the same play session. Losing cool new personas/items both times. Rage.

I wouldn't mind a limited use time rewind for situations like that, a la Fire Emblem 3 Houses. Or when you do an activity in the free time and then realize it ended your day with minimal rewards.

Alex will probably bring up Judgment, though I don't imagine that discussion will go far. And from the last podcast (Bombcast) it sounds like Outer Worlds will be talked about a lot. Though, since it is such a recent release they might go easy on the spoilers.

Edit - oh, and they are not my type of game, but I assume Call of Duty and Gears will come up, and Wolfenstein Youngblood.

I'm clumsy. Metal and glass phones have little to no grip, so cases are a necessity for me.

I don't buy the bulky drop protection cases. Just something thin with texture I can hold onto and that keeps the phone relatively scratch-free. I'm not someone who gets off on how my phone looks when I'm using it, but I do like to keep it as nice as possible for resale value.

All of this exactly. Years ago I had an iPod (one of the ones with tiny screens) before I got a smart phone and learned within the first week that I should never carry small/slick tech without some sort of case.

I did pick a brightly colored case, just to help me find the dang thing. I have a lot of dark colored surfaces in my house and when I used a black case I was constantly forgetting where I put the phone down and spending 5+ minutes looking for it.

The one thing you mention that worries me is that it takes 10x longer to boot up. Did you have a superfast boot up before and now 20 secs seems like a long time, or are we talking 2-3 mins to boot? With a fresh install of Windows and the OS on an SSD that shouldn't be happening. You might want to run a stress test on your RAM, just in case, and check on anything running in the background. Probably not your RAM, as you'd be having other issues, but it doesn't hurt to check.
