I'm okay with shitty people being fired but I do agree that this won't last. I'm looking forward to The Road to Diabetes with Paula Deen this fall on Fox or CBN or HBO.
I know everyone keeps saying this is about his comments on transgenderism but it seems like a tweet about the panel brought this whole thing up. Also, how is this worthy of "wow" or "you fucked up"?
I can see why people would think what Gabe said on twitter is offensive and I don't think he's doing himself any favors by continuing to tweet about it. I also think wanting to censor a panel because you don't agree with what it is discussing is wrong.
The problem is, it's not funny. If Microsoft had made some oversight in writing the name on the box, or something, and it LOOKED like it said Xbone, it would be hilarious if everyone jumped on it and started capitalizing on Microsoft's mistake. But it's not. It's not capitalizing on anything. It's not witty. It's not clever. It's trying way to hard.
And even if it WAS funny, once, it's certainly not funny in perpetuity. It's also not shorter than calling it the One, the Xbox, or the XBO.
I agree that "xbone" isn't very funny but there's no way in hell I'm calling it "The One." To me it's the XB1.
I've never been big on multiplayer games so it's always been hard for me to justify paying $50-60 just for that. But I'm okay with paying a fee for PS+ because I get "free" games every month. That's probably something that will be difficult to do on the PS4 at launch given how many games are available. I'm still curious of what they'll do with Gaikai.
I pay $5 a month to see subscriber videos and support Giant Bomb, I don't see how $5 a month for free games and online play is too much to ask for. Hell, coming in from Xbox Live, PS+ will be more than welcome.
Those Giant Bomb videos should be FREE! It doesn't cost them anything to just hit record on a camera play some video games! Why should I pay for videos when I can get them on You Tube for free? How dare they steal from me!
Am I doing it right? Yeah, that's how some of you people sound to me. Try not to take too much offense, and please give Sony the benefit of the doubt until we hear if they'll be spending money on loads of dedicated servers.
You so and so. I was thinking of a way to reply to that before I finished reading your post. Nice job.
I'm kind of between "I don't care" and "I wish it wasn't there, but it doesn't bother me that much." I voted for the latter.
I'm already a PSN+ member for the "free" games every month. I'll be happy to continue paying for that feature so Sony putting MP behind a paywall won't affect me unless of course I cancel my membership. I'm really glad they aren't putting Netflix behind that wall like XBL.
I was out as soon as "always online" was mentioned. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a piece of hardware that turns into a useless brick if it isn't connected to the internet within 24 hours. I would opt out of buying a PS4 if Sony also has an "always online" policy. I can keep playing PC games while the console sort this out.
