" @Zereta: Yeah, my intuition too but it seems that other people, rather a lot of other people didn't have that intuition.  I personally think the way it was handled was perfect but I can see an argument for people who wish it was a little more obvious.  Maybe something fairly subtle like one of the briefs that pops up saying "you have completed the story of John Marston, now seek out your revenge" or something.  Nothing too obtrusive, just a hint that at the very least there is still something left to do.  Regardless, I'm glad it was how it was.  I'm just trying to see it from both sides. Then is it now weird, if I say, I related to John Marston a lot more than I related to Niko, or my Shepard. I cried and I still shed a tear sometimes when RDR ended, because of that particular thing that happens.

Got it the moment I got off the raft on Mexico. Just as "Far Away" was starting.

" I've said this a few times now and it really surprises me how many people are left unsure what to do.  However, I'm finding more and more people that are in that boat so I guess maybe there should have been a little better indication that you weren't done yet.  For me revenge was my only purpose at that point.  Knowing that the dude who killed my dad was stationed in Blackwater I traveled there as fast as my horse could take me bent on killing him (assuming he was in fact still working there all those years later).  Sure enough I read the paper and saw where he retired to and also ran into the stranger who actually opened the mission.   I wasn't certain that I would actually get anything out of going there in the first place but I felt I had to try.  There was a chance that the death of John was really the end and then after that you just got to sort of free roam as Jack but I had to try it and thankfully my bloodlust was sated. It seems that Rockstar figures you would eventually stumble onto it if you didn't actually go there intentionally for revenge.  If for no other reason, you have to go to the Blackwater tailor to buy the scrap for the. . . was it the army outfit you get opened after John dies?  Anyhow, if you even just go to Blackwater for that purpose alone you should in theory stumble across the stranger.   At any rate, yeah the story of John is over at that point.  Now you are starting the story of Jack.  I could have seen them ending this game with the reveal of an older John over the graves then credits roll.  Then in future games or maybe episodic DLC (like GTA IV had) you then gain control of John and continue his story.  They still could do that but it wouldn't be as big of a draw because that character got revenge for the killing of his father already, what would come next story wise worth telling? "

" I hate that they did this bullshit where you dunno what to do next i literally thought my game was bugged and deleted my save file. The very next day i found out that it was a stranger quest... thats just bullshit i had to start over (i just got the Redeemed trophy today so yey for that at least) "

" @Zereta:I just checked and the achievement guide recommends you use free roam for the mounted guns one... so I'm honestly not sure if you can do it by replaying story missions or if it's just quicker to do it that way... It's 500 in singleplayer OR multiplayer so you can't do 400 in sp and 100 in mp. "
