GTA IV PC Features Revealed

As you all already know GTA IV for the PC is coming in November ,now according to the Games For Windows listing, GTA: IV will hit PC on November 18, 2008.

Microsoft's website also included a list of PC exclusive content and features:

  •  New high resolution technology brings Liberty City to life with even more stunning graphical detail.
  • *Expanded multiplayer will require even more strategy and skill to come out on top.
  •   Match Filtering allows you to pick your favorite multiplayer options and then instantly find online matches that fit.
  •   Record gameplay clips and edit them together with a variety of options using the Video Editor and upload via the Rockstar Social Club.
  • *Optimized for PC controls and Xbox 360 controller.

The Games For Windows listing says that the recommended system requirements will be announced soon, but a rumor has it that they were listed briefly and that they were:

OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader.
Drive: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive


Those might not be the official Specs since they didn't mention Windows Vista nor did they sepcify the processors speed ,either way, i need a new computer ASAP!

Nice.... but kind of big, isn't it?  I guess that's because of all of the dialogue in the game.

Nice that you can use the controller. GTA is best played with a controller.

18 GB is definitely a lot of space but as DBoy said it's probably the amount of dialog in the game not to mention cutscenes and textures since the city is pretty much detailed and huge  this kind reminds me of the CD to DVD transition period , PC gaming might be heading towards DVD to Blu-ray in no time.

come on guys! 18 GB for GTA-IV, amen for that. i don't have any problem with that.
