Hi All,

I'm looking for some new podcasting fodder for my commute and down-time during the day.  I listen to the NYTimes headlines, NPR (various), The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, The Geologic Podcast, and many others.  My interests are primarily focused on current events and science news, but I'm willing to give just about anything a listen.

With that, I open the floor to the GB-community.  What other podcasts do you recommend?

Thanks,

-ZK

I agree that Sony's actions are probably symbolic rather than expected to accomplish any significant reduction in hacking.

One thing about trademarks (and possibly patents, I'm not sure) is that a company/organization must actively defend their claim over a logo and/or brand or they risk losing the trademark.  It could be that Sony is simply reacting to a threat to the brand in a way that demonstrates that the company is aware of the issue and does not condone it.  This way, when future challenges come up, Sony can point to past actions of attempting to protect the brand.  I think they are just covering all the bases, IMO.

I once won a "walking piano."  If you've seen the movie "Big" with Tom Hanks, then you might remember the scene in the department store with the giant flat panel piano that you play by standing/jumping on the keys.

I was about 10 years old, so that was pretty cool for the time.

Lol, no.  The mechanism doesn't work that way.  On the outside chance that you had a modified revolver that could spin freely while in battery, it would only fire, perhaps, once.  And that's assuming that the chambered round was in perfect alignment with the barrel when the firing pin strikes the primer.  Anything else would blow up in your face.   It would be very dangerous to have the cylinder that loose...

Also, if you want to see some fast revolver shooting, look up Jerry Miculik

I collect.  I work part-time in a gun shop, do some minor gun-smithing, and some work at a local range for their concealed carry training class.

Got about 30 firearms now.  Fun hobby if you live somewhere that it's legal...

I get your point.  However, he didn't have a specific project to plug, or experience to talk about (i.e. just leaving an industry job) like some other recent guests...  It did feel like Ryan had to make a point to include him in discussion.  He seemed like one more person in the room rather than a "special guest."  Honestly, I forgot he was there most of the time.  I'd be happy to give him another shot though.  At least he didn't interrupt everyone else constantly, like some guests are known to do.

"By doing two games back to back, we didn't get the opportunity to listen to everybody's feedback and try and incorporate that," Millar said. "But what we did do is

take a bit of a guess at what we thought was going to come out of the releases."

<*cough> What?  If this guy thought they could "guess" what people want, why didn't it get incorporated into the first release?

I put in somewhere in the 80-hour range.  Played the main game and all the DLC.  Lot's of fun, but man I'm tapped out until New Vegas.

Hunh, I don't remember that happening to me.  Have you retried that part, and does the camera stop again?
