Hmm.. Could be interesting I guess. I really should start reading some more of the books, though the whole Sapkowski being kind of a douche has kind of put a downer on my enthusiasm to do so.

Sometimes you have to divorce the author from the literature or media you want to enjoy. History is full of pretty shitty people responsible for amazing stories. This guy being kind of a dick about video games is pretty low on that list.

So I can just watch this instead of playing the game right? Save the 110 hours. I may as well just get the story this way and not deal with the clunky gameplay people complain about.

No, it's very unlikely this will touch on anything that happens in the games. This is based on the books that all take place before the first game.

Just makes me want to support him less.

This is a weird ass thread and premise (he seems to always have been a douche to me, even if you play a Mitch Murder song under clips of him). But I buy the Chapo Trap House kind of point that he has just become your crazy Fox News loving old man who yells at the TV. That comes with age.

Yeah.. I don't really get the premise for this thread either..

@zeushbien: I found this article talking about how the crew hit 5 million players: https://www.destructoid.com/the-crew-hits-5-million-players-364127.phtml

I guess it sold pretty well O_o

Wow, really? I'd never had guessed that. It's odd sometimes what becomes a hit and what doesn't, just look at the whole hitman situation.

I'm hoping Far Cry 5 will be good. I skipped Primal since it seemed to be quite middling, at least from the response it got most places. I did love Far Cry 3, and thought Far Cry 4 was also very good.

I'm surprised The Crew is getting a sequel though.. Seemed like nobody liked that one. Wonder how it sold..

Cool concept. Could maybe make them even more Giant Bomb-y , but I like what you've made so far :-)

It's a tricky thing. Since the reviewer doesn't know how widespread a bug that they experience is, I can't really see how they can do anything but explain in their review what they experienced, and naturally the score will reflect that. It's not perfect, since plenty of people will have different experiences, but that is why it is wise to look at multiple reviews before making a decision to buy something.

It's hard to compare I feel. Since this is the third game in the series with this sort of framework, I think maybe some things that have always been a weakness of the series, that were maybe easier to forgive in the earlier games, are starting to irritate some people more now. Like the "you are tired" thing. Also, maybe the concept is just less fresh now, it's sort of like Dark Souls III or Fallout 4 to me. Both games improved a lot of things from the earlier games, but had less of an impact because they were still very similar and in Fallout 4s case had a lot of the same issues still. For the record, I liked Persona 5 a lot, but to me Persona 3 is still the one I like the most, since it was so fresh to me at the time.

That sucks :-(

Just when IO were hitting their stride again. I actually liked the episodic format for once, but I guess a lot of people were turned off by it.

I hope my fellow Danes land on their feet, or the studio gets sold to someone who's a good fit.
