I've lately developed a bit of a love affair with the little purple lunchbox. Its so nicely designed and was surprisingly powerful despite its compact form. It wasn't perfect, but it had some amazing hits. Unfortunately, trying to collect for it now sucks, as the aftermarket prices are insane. I'm not paying $40 for Luigi's Mansion in 2016, that's crazy.
If you poke around, you can find the weirder and more overlooked games for reasonable prices.
Got it for cheap, its got some style to it. Shares continuity and characters with Wave Race, which is kinda rad.
Words cannot express the joy I felt when I realized this game didn't have tank controls. I'm looking forward to properly playing it.
GX is absurdly hard, but it has such a cool sense of style and a blistering sense of speed that its definitely worth owning.

I found this thing at a Goodwill for $3 and it even had a memory card in it. This is my favorite version of the two.
Metroid Prime is incredible, I didn't play it until 2007 while waiting for Corruption to come out, and it was a really cool experience. I just recently went back and did a 100% playthrough and had a fantastic time. Brilliantly designed and it still looks great for a 14 year old game.
I'm moving onto this next.
Such a delightful game, it has train mysteries, pro wrestling, shadow villages, and this motherfucker that steals the goddamn P. Fantastic.
Its a game about digging trash out of your Earth garden because your planet is fucking broke. Cameos from Dr. Pepper and 7-Up.

The only Rayman without Michel Ancel at the helm, and it kinda shows. Still seems like a pretty cool game.
This game is amazing. It has one of the most atmospheric opening stages in any game and some of the tensest shooting around. Wii version is the best.
What a bizarre Zelda clone from Rare. Its got about as much nonsense vocabulary as FFXIII, but at least it has awesome David Wise music to go along with it.
Some weird Star Fox game, but its in full 3D and you blow up moons or something. Insanely impressive graphics for a 2001 launch title.
I'm not sure why people cling to this game so ardently, but I do miss a bunch of the stages in here.
This is my favorite Tony Hawk game, its basically a skateboarding RPG.
Super stylish Kamiya game, very short but tons of combat depth, as one would expect.

A port of the GBA game with some really awesome multiplayer modes. Good stuff.

The best game where you can play as Gambit. Full stop. I've never finished it, but the MUA rereleases really make me want to go back and revisit this with fresh eyes.
