If they did it, I would watch it. However there are other physical games I'd rather see them play.
I don't care about the stakes, there could be none for all I care, or there could be shenanigan stakes like in Steal My Sunshine.

As long as it still has shows (not so much movies for me really) that I want to watch on it, I'd be okay around 20.
At some point I'll watch what a I care about though and if they aren't adding more shows fast then I'll just not give a shit and cancel.

Gotta 6.
I would put one hue against another hue and it would look wrong and much lighter, so I'd switch it out and it would look wrong again and so much darker. When it was next to the hue I was testing it on, it would look wrong, when it was away from it, it would look right.

The last good James Cameron film was in the 90's...

He's made exactly one film since 1997, so this statement literally means nothing.

Lest we forget Dark Angel sir. So that's two whole things. Now you might say that A) Not a movie. B) Now you're just being difficult. To which I say, yes.

But seriously, that only strengthens my point, he has only made one movie since the 90's (excluding documentaries) and created (thought only directed 1 episode) of a failed t.v. series.
So yeah, the guy who has made only one movie (and in my personal opinion, a not very good one.) Isn't someone I'll have a lot of faith in. So that doesn't mean literally nothing, that means he's literally only done one mediocre thing, one failed thing, and a handful of documentaries for his admittedly very very cool hobby of exploring the ocean.

I am not in any way shape or form saying people shouldn't be excited for it or have faith in him though, to each their own. He has a very good track record with sequels (T2, Aliens) so who knows?

All of James Cameron's movies are good.

Fair if that's your opinion, mine is Avatar is far from good, and I know I'm not alone in that. Tech wise, very impressive, even some fun action, but not good.

@fisk0: Ohhh okay, I did not know that, I thought it was a global thing from what I read, so good history lesson/correction.

I do stand by though, even one country more or less having a crash, as still worse than what's going on now.

If anything the problem we have now is people spend too much money on games, microtransactions wouldn't be around if they weren't profitable to be there.
Not to forgive the developers/publishers who put them in and exploit people with the use of them, but the fact is people are spending money on them.

The last good James Cameron film was in the 90's, and I have nothing against Tim Miller but the only full fledged movie under his belt was a real team effort it seems, his name holds no weight in and of itself. He's not a Peter Jackson or Martin Scorsese or someone whose name means something, he doesn't have a big enough catalogue to matter at this point. Also Cameron has entered his old man George Lucas phase.
So, not interested no, but I don't route for it to be bad, hell I don't route for freaking Avatar 2, 3 and 4 to be bad. I don't *want* anything to be bad ever. I hope the next Terminator is the best written, best directed, best acted one yet, with killer action.
I don't expect it to be however.

It depends. If I feel like I'm making progress in some form I can be quite patient, but if I feel absolutely stuck or lost and all that's left is aimlessly wandering or throwing guesses at the wall my patience will dry up quick and I will look up a guide.

Adventure games are probably a good example of that. Some people will just bang their head against the wall until they finally figure out what to do on their own, even if it means not making progress for days. I'm not one of those people. I will give it an honest shot, but if I'm spending too much time with no idea how to proceed I won't hesitate to look up the answer.

It kinda depends on the game too though. Some games are just more fun to explore than others.

I'm with you, I'll do it, and if it's enjoyable and I'm making progress then cool, but if it gets the point of confusion and feeling lost and bored and irritated then screw that. I like to have fun while playing games and nothing is less fun to me than running around in circles because of either confusing game design, or me over looking something.

Optional exploration is always a joy though, if I know where I'm supposed to go, but there are side areas calling to me, I'll gladly explore them, because there is no pressure, I can spend all day off the main path if I know the main path is still there for me whenever I want to go back.

There was a literal video game crash in the 80's, so no, by comparison, we're doing pretty good. In my opinion, unless that happened again but somehow worse, it wouldn't be possible for any generation TO be worse than that.
Sure there are more ways for publishers to be greedy asshats now, but there are also more ways for indie or self controlled studios to get off the ground. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.

I wonder what the numbers here are for people who do/don't want it and were fans of the original games, and for people who do/don't want it and came in at Beth/3.

I'm assuming the fans of the original want it in higher numbers than the people who came in at 3.

Just some thoughts, anyways, 100%, I like Bethesdas ability to make a fun toy box. I really enjoy how they cram a bunch of different features together and let you go nuts on them.
They can't tell a story that isn't at best cliche to save their lives though.

So give their toy box to Obsidian and let them craft a good story around those toys, and that's awesome.
