This is some sad news... well, for us, hopefully it is great news for Brad, Vinny and Alex. I hope that whatever they do (even if that thing is nothing) is good to them.

Though, some part of me thinks that Vinny and Alex are leaving cause they don't want to do a play through of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I agree with a lot of what has been said here, but I think another part of it was that there were some in the gaming community that pushed the idea that this game is violent to discredit it, since they didn't like what happen in the storyline.

Mainly what happen to Joel. There seem to be a view that he was the hero or justified in his actions in the last one. And in sequel, it was shown that his actions had negative consequences for himself and those around him. And I believe that rubbed some people the wrong way, since they were told that they were wrong to have those beliefs. People when confront with a truth they don't like, often attack the messenger, so that they can continue believing their lie.

Wow, first off, thank you all for responding, i honesty didn't think I would get this much feedback. I made a post yesterday, and figure I would check in a day or two and find like 3 comments, which I was totally cool with. So yeah, this is awesome.

Second, alright, after reading the 38 (damn that's a lot) comments, I think y'all convince me to get Hades. The only question now (for me) is to decide if I should 'rent' it on steam first, or just dive in a buy it on my switch. But that's something for me to figure out this weekend.

Anywho, thank you all, again.

Been thinking about getting Hades, since it looks interesting and it is getting a lot of praise, but am holding off on that since I thought the same for Transistor, and ended up hating that game. And I mean that, it is one of the only games I have ever return (to steam for a refund). My overall experience with games from Supergiant games has been:

Bastion - Enjoyed it, though, felt like I didn't get the most out of it (I ended up sticking to the same weapon for the majority of the game)

Transistor - Hated it. Bought it during a sale, and still thought it wasn't worth it. Didn't like the controls, story, combat, or the art.

Pyre - Didn't play it, didn't look interesting, and kind of wrote off the devs since I hated Transistor.

So given this, I was wondering what people thought on this question. If I should pick up Hades (and if do so, i'll probably end up doing it on my Switch) or not? I would post this on the Hades forums, except am pretty sure everyone on there is probably a fan of the game, so they would just respond with a 'yes' regardless. Also, i doubt there will be a demo of the game, since from what i can tell (based off steam pages) only Bastion has a demo. So yeah... whatca y'all think? Has anyone enjoyed Hades but also hated one of supergiant's previous games?

I know not a lot of people played this game, but I feel the need to talk about the endings, even if it is just to myself. But incase someone else ever reads this, i'll make sure to put a spoiler tag in the title of this post. So there are four endings to this game.

There the default ending for "A Tale of One"

In which boxboy (or girl) fails to stop the asteroid from hitting their home world. They rush to the last detonator, but are catch in the black smoke, and when they finally make it to the detonator, it turns out it is a two person detonator, which they are unable to trigger by themselves. So the asteroid hits the planet, destroying a large portion of it, and the player character lands back on the surface and dies. It rather bleak and depressing actually. I know some people online think that it means that this is a pre-quel ending, since the first 3 games have you restoring your homeworld.

There the ending for "A Tale for Two"

This ending is pretty much the origin story for Super Girl. The two main characters with their daughter find a broken space ship. Box girl gives her daughter her bow, they put their kid into the ship, and then use their life force to repair the ship. After which they send the ship away from their dying home world.

The ending for "A Tall Tale"

Has the tall box turning on 3 lasers that end up destroying the corruption cloud thingy that was attacking their homeworld. This ending was the most straight forward, though, still rather weird for a light hearted puzzle game.

The secret ending for "A Tale of One"

If you complete all the other modes, you get an special item from each. If you equip all 4 of them, you get this ending. In which it plays out about the same as the default ending, except when the player character gets to the detonator, the special item turns into another box person, and thus you are able to use the detonator to destroy the asteroid. The player character and this new box person don't get off in time, but the ending shows the player's characters kids (I assume) playing on the home world, which is restored back to its normal self.

All in all, i liked all the endings, but yeah... for a light hearted puzzle game, they are all really out of place.

Nope, people seem to like it, but from what i have seen, it isn't a game I would enjoyed. Watched a few of the GB videos, but quickly found, that I didn't even like watching them play it. IDK, overall, the game to me seems like its the Pokemon Go of FPSs.

I mean raw time has already proven that false.

Raw time? I was unaware that my opinion that I don't enjoy something could be proven false by an outside source, good to know that am not allow to not like something.

The implication of what you said was that PUBG would be a short lived fad much like the Pokemon GO fad. What @efesell is saying is that PUBG has already outlasted fad status and shows no sign of dying off being 8 months old now.

Ah, I see where the misunderstanding is happening here then. He has a negative view of Pokemon Go, so any association with it, would trigger a defensive remark. What I meant by that Pokemon Go comparison was that both games are/were hugely popular, with a big social aspect to them, however, both games were 'technical' bad, so I didn't get into or understand people's positive feelings towards them. (and just to be clear, i put technical in quotes, since this is all in my opinion, a lot of people really like the game, enough to make it their GoTY)

Side note, there is no duration for a 'Fad', since that term is just a derogatory word people use against things they do not like to imply that the thing, while popular, will quickly fad away once people realize that they are wrong for liking it.

It was amusing, but still a lot of nonsense. Really dislike their retcon from the last move, kind of remind me of the Fox Marvel movies, where they all are kind of in the same universe, but don't line up with each other. A la, they rewrite/change something dramatically from the last movie, just so that something can happen in this movie, even though, it completely undermines the last movie plot.

Also... this one was way more fantasy, swords and magic, then most of them (which have some lasers, ships, and space).
