Project Ion is an MMO which is independently developed and maintained by TestBuilt, aka two brothers and a bunch of trusty supporters. The very first shot at game development with the Unity3d engine was taken early in 2012. A many great steps forward have been made since then and in 2019 the team gave their blessing to a true 1.0.0.0 release. With a sturdy foundation in place, the next milestone put forth was to bring all audio/visual content up to par. Release version 1.0.6 was a major step towards that goal and received a lot of praise.

Most new arrivals have been disembodied for over a century with only a vague recollection of their own reflection. So upon reviving in the world of ION everyone gets a chance to clean up and make cosmetic adjustments. With only basic clothing and an empty credit token they find themselves with empty pockets in a foreign world to explore.

Alright, let's get in there!Exploring can be done in either a first or third-person view. There are natural resources scattered across the land which can be picked up and represent a value. Anything of value can be sold to a Pwn Shop merchant or put up for auction on iBay. Direct trading with other people is also an option, just make sure to check around before selling any potentially unique finds for cheap! Any gear collected along the way will help opening up other activities like hunting, mining and crafting.

Project Ion is essentially free to play, but people need to play smart to be able to sustain themselves that way. Just like in the real world. Smart decisions, efficient strategies, wit, humor and any other personal skill sets imaginable are proven to be invaluable assets in the world of Ion.
