    The only reviews up for the most part are the ones that were high enough to bypass the embargo. Now lower ones like IGN's are starting to filter through.

    I thought that ign's review was really bad
    5.5/10 for graphics, the game deserves an 8/10 since framerate barely ever drops
    8/10 for gameplay, deserves a 9
     6.5/10 for lasting appeal, the reviewer even said 20 hours, plus it's a free roam game

    I'm pretty sure an embargo is an embargo. It isn't based on scores. Am I wrong?

    Games companies hire people to make sure that the message about their game in the media is as positive as possible. Do you think that these people sit on their hands all day and don't catch it from their bosses if early press is bad?

    Whaa? I was trying to say that there are not certain reviews that can get by an embargo just because they are 10/10 or 9/10. All reviews are under embargo.

    I left that incomplete because I don't really want to go off on a conspiracy theory rant but a review embargo does not always apply to all reviewers in the same way. PSW Magazine had an early review of Prototype, for example.

    @TwoOneFive: That's a stupid thing to say. They have seperate teams for each console. Other than that, each writer has different tastes. Every day you see posts with people always saying how much they don't care about the number attached to a review and then this type of shit happens.

    Well sometimes a site or magazine will score an exclusive which in that case they can show whatever they want early. Other times places do break the embargo. But I imagine that they get in pretty big trouble if they do considering they signed a contract and all.

    i ordred this instead of infamous after playing infamous demo and watching videos all the powers seem very similar just zapping dudes, i hold out for prototype for more diffrent powers and it's brutal.

    Frame rate is one thing but honestly most of the city in the game is bland and even Alex himself looks very lackluster when you compare him to Cole from inFamous or Niko from GTA. Now, I haven't beat it but so far the side missions are very indifferent and there's a lot of them, which over time really does not make you want to do them. Just to put it out there, inFamous got away with this only because they kept the amount of side missions minimal and by the end of the game it really didn't seem like you were repeating them, just well thought out.
