The Sleeper Hit of 2004 1

Psi-Ops is Midway's new third-person shooter game, but before you write it off as just another run-of-the-mill TPS like the other 47 games you've seen, give it a chance.  The game puts you in the shoes of Nick Scryer, a secret psi-agent who has telekinetic abilities.  Nick has been trained by the government's Mindgate contingent whose current mission is to destroy the terrorist organization known as The Movement.  Still sound generic?  Well, Nick has undergone a complete memory wipe and fac...

You'd never expect Psi-Ops to be this good. 1

I can imagine that a developer working on the low-visibilty Psi-Ops was, at some point, told that their game would never be any good.  After all, Psi-Ops appears to be so generic that it would get lost among established franchises like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell. This game went largely unnoticed maybe due to poor advertising. The controls are ultra tight, the psi powers control like a dream and the weapons are very easy and satisfying to use, especially when used in combination with the psychic powers. One of the games finest m...

    Dare I call this game "psi-sational"? 0

Here it is in very few words: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is a must play game for ANY and ALL fans of action-adventure games. It's a one of kind experience that really rewards creative play. You play the game as Nick Scryer, a psi-agent who has had his memory erased. He has great, untapped, psychic abilities that he is unaware of and as the game rolls out, these powers are regained and so too are his lost memories. As he regains his true identity of course he wants to seek out and stop the...
