    Overview

    A payphone is a landline phone that is available in the open for anyone to pay for with coins and use. In modern times they are dwindling due to cell phone usage rendering them obsolete.

    They are often just part of the scenery of the game environment although they can be a means for the player to receive missions in games such as Grand Theft Auto 3.
