Pudge the Butcher is a melee strength hero with a potential to be a carry in Dota 2 who excels at initiating and solo ganking, designed to displace enemies either by wading headfirst into battle or pulling enemies to his team. Pudge is a massive tanky hero who can throw a hooked chain in a direction to enemies, pulling them to him and then lock them down with powerful slows and disables, or grab allies to save them in the direst of situations. His true strength, however, comes from his passive ability to permanently gain strength when an enemy is killed near him, making him bigger, meaner and harder to bring down the more combat he sees. Due to his ability to spiral out of control being highly dependent on his hook, a fairly predictable skill shot, he is recommended for intermediate to advanced players.
In the Fields of Endless Carnage, far to the south of Quoidge, a corpulent figure works tirelessly through the night -dismembering, disemboweling, piling up the limbs and viscera of the fallen that the battlefield might be clear by dawn. In this cursed realm, nothing can decay or decompose; no corpse may ever return to the earth from which it sprang, no matter how deep you dig the grave. Flocked by carrion birds who need him to cut their meals into beak-sized chunks, Pudge the Butcher hones his skills with blades that grow sharper the longer he uses them. Swish, swish, thunk. Flesh falls from the bone; tendons and ligaments part like wet paper. And while he always had a taste for the butchery, over the ages, Pudge has developed a taste for its byproduct as well. Starting with a gobbet of muscle here, a sip of blood there, before long he was thrusting his jaws deep into the toughest of torsos, like a dog gnawing at rags. Even those who are beyond fearing the Reaper, fear the Butcher.
Stats (October 27th, 2014 Patch)

Meat Hook is Pudge's first active ability that affects units, has to be targeted and deals pure damage. The Butcher throws his vicious hook toward a unit. The hook will pierce the flesh of the first unit it encounters and dragging it back to Pudge dealing pure damage.
Rot is Pudge's second active ability that affects enemy units, has to be toggled. The Butcher releases a toxic cloud of chocking gas that deals magical damage and slows down enemies trying to flee. It harms not only his foes, but Pudge himself.
Flesh Heap is Pudge's third passive ability that affects The Butcher and provides him with magic resistance and strength bonus when Pudge devours his enemy or enemy hero dies in his vicinity. Flesh Heap gains bonus charges even when it has not been leveled.
Dismember is Pudge's channeled ultimate ability that affects enemies and deals magical damage. The Butcher starts dismembering and disemboweling his enemy. Aghanim's scepter adds a strength-based damage bonus, and heals Pudge equal to the damage dealt by his ultimate.
