    Puzzle Points

    Concept »

Puzzle points are found in many adventure games from the 80s and 90s. They are used to gauge the player's progress through the game and how thorough they have been in the game.

Puzzle points were prevalent in games developed by Sierra in the late 80's and early 90's. Unlike most experience points or overall score points systems, puzzle points are finite and are dispersed through talking to NPC's about all available subjects and using items in the game's environment to solve puzzles.
