The livestream is live! And John Carmack's keynote is up at 16:30 today, anyone else interested in settling in for the fun and games? Is anyone actually there right now? Does anyone actually care right now? I personally like to see those crazy flashy personal computers (have you heard, they have HARD DRIVES in them now?), listen to John, see some sick Quake players and look on at just a whole heap of people enjoying the sights, sounds and...smells...of PC gaming.

Co-founder John Carmack will give the free conference's keynote at 3:00 p.m. EST today after a welcome address from id Software's Todd Hollenshead and Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines. Over the next few days, the conference will host panels on making and designing games, hold tournaments with over $150,000 in prizes to distribute, and offer hands-on demos with games like Dishonored and Doom 3 BFG Edition.
