    Quick Time Event

    Concept »

    Quick Time Events show up in all sorts of games as an attempt to make cutscenes interactive. Press the buttons displayed on-screen before time runs out, or else.

    ...but it won't stop developers from using them in games.  All you can really do is make sure they use em properly and don't over use em.

    Also don't make death a major penalty for failure.

    I mostly don't buy games that use them too much, so I guess there is something that people can do.

    And it's not really matter of using them too much. It's of using them poorly.

    No i didn't say that just that since so many action oriented games use em don't expect to see em go away any time soon.

    As long as they're used properly then i have no problem with em but it seems some people would rather developers stopped using em all together.
