Bloatfly are an enemy creature in the Fallout series.
A creature in the Fallout universe that is made up of a random mix of certain species mutated with the Forced Evolutionary Virus.
The roach is a notoriously indestructible insect found in many societies. It is also found in video games.
Deathclaws were intended to be a replacement for humans in close-combat situations by the US government and created using a variety of animal DNA. They are powerful, agile monsters that now run wild in the Fallout franchise.
Decontamination is the process of removing hazardous materials from a person or object. In games, this is usually achieved by lasers, rather than water as in the real world.
Although killing or being killed has been one of the most universal mechanics in games through the years, in some games players or their foes merely faint instead.
They may be good or evil, but mad scientists are always performing experiments that are on the outer fringes of science. Ever since Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, they've been in the scene.
A species of mutated crab-like enemies. They are heavily armored, and their main weak-spot is their unprotected face.
A big naked rodent, often mutated and vicious.
Radioactive particles in the air released by a nuclear explosion.
Nuclear war is a conflict in which nuclear weapons are used.
A species of large, mutated scorpions from the Fallout series. Radiation caused them to grow in size and increase the potency of their poison.
The SPECIAL System was created by Black Isle Studios, for their 1997 role-playing game: Fallout. It is heavily based on the GURPS System (Generic Universal Role-playing System), which they weren't allowed to use in Fallout.
The Great War is the name given to the nuclear war that devastated the planet in the Fallout universe.
Found in Fallout 3, the Yao Guai are bears that have been mutated due to radiation.
Zombies, more accurately called the walking dead, are reanimated corpses who feed on the living, and have become a ubiquitous video game enemy. They often move slowly, but can be deadly in large numbers, which is unfortunately how they tend to travel. Shotgun time!
