Donning his trademark yellow shorts and blue backpack, Banjo is one of the main characters in the Banjo-Kazooie games.
Diddy Kong made his first appearance in 1994 as Donkey Kong's side-kick in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. Since then, he has starred in numerous Donkey Kong games, his own Diddy Kong Racing games and Mario sports titles. He wears a red Nintendo hat.
The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Kazooie is a smart-alec bird who assists her friend Banjo to take down Gruntilda the Witch and her cohorts.
He is part of the trio known as the Battletoads. He is the strongest fighter and can be distinguished by his brown color.

King K. Rool is the primary antagonist of the Donkey Kong Country series.
Buxom antagonist of the Battletoads series who appears a number of times as the final boss of the games. She strives to rule the galaxy and is constantly trying to defeat the Battletoads and Professor T. Bird.
He is part of the trio known as the Battletoads. He is said to be the leader.
Enguarde the Swordfish is an animal buddy and recurring character who has aided the Kongs more than once in their adventures. This character gives the player increased speed on underwater areas as well as the ability to kill enemies with it's sharp bill.
Rare's cute and kid-friendly creation became one of gaming's edgiest characters, making Conker the poster-child for the mature platformer genre.
Tiptup is a playable character in the racing game Diddy Kong Racing.
Squawks is one of the animal friends from the Donkey Kong Country series. Out of all the animal buddies, he has the most diverse set of abilities.
A surly, crotchety old widower, Cranky Kong made his first appearance in 1994's Donkey Kong Country for the SNES, heralded as the acerbic, wisecracking grandfather of the current Donkey Kong. He was the star of the original Donkey Kong, a fact he lets no one forget.
Gruntilda is a witch whose one act of profitable villainy has turned into an obsession with restoring herself and defeating Banjo. She often speaks in rhymes and favors a combination of magic, machinery and minion power in battle.

The grandmother of DK Jr and wife of Cranky Kong (also known as Donkey Kong), Wrinkly Kong has appeared in several of the major Donkey Kong titles. She died between DKC3 and DK64 and is now a ghost.

Mumbo Jumbo is a key side character in the Banjo-Kazooie franchise. Mumbo is a shaman whose role is to assist Banjo in his quest via the use of his magic.
Following the orders of his mistress Gruntilda, Klungo is the assistant to the witch in their fight against Banjo and Kazooie. In later games, he opens his own arcade and creates his own game.
Mr. Pants is somewhat of a mascot of Rare. He appears as an easter egg in some of their titles, and has his own puzzle game.
Laid back member of the Kong family, Funky Kong usually supplies services to the Kongs such as allowing them to return to previous worlds. He also appears in Mario Kart Wii & Mario Super Sluggers as a playable character.
Dixie Kong is the girlfriend of Diddy Kong and was first introduced in Donkey Kong Country 2. She can perform a helicopter spin with her ponytail to cross wide gaps.
Rambi is one of the animal buddies from the Donkey Kong Country series. His first appearance was in Donkey Kong Country on the level "Jungle Hijinks". Riding him allows you to plow through enemies.
Sabrewulf used to be Count Von Sabrewulf. He is 95 years old, stands at 5'11" (180 cm) and weighs 900 lbs. (408 kg).
Bottles, the short-sighted mole, is one of the main characters, and key facilitator throughout the Banjo-Kazooie series.

Captain Blubber is a pirate hippopotamus. In Treasure Trove Cove, he rewards Banjo and Kazooie with jiggies in return for finding his misplaced treasure.
Jago is a Tibetan Warrior Monk in Killer Instinct I and II.
Fulgore is a cyborg that is part of a cybernetic project developed by Ultratech.
