    Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

    Time splits as A Crack In Time marks the end of the "Future" trilogy in the Ratchet & Clank franchise.

    New Ratchet and Clank will feature free roam space exploration.

    This new feature will allow you to fly Ratchet's space craft and explore the spaces between the various planets within the game. This feature will also let you land on various moons in order to complete side quests. It will also feature some very cool upgrades to ratchets space craft. Just check this feature up.

    Very rad. Kind of ruins an idea that I had for space exploration for a game that I oh-so want to be a lead of.

    spherical worlds were in two and I think three as well, not saying i was the first to do it but they definitely aren't now ripping off SMG

    Actually Ratchet and Clank featured spherical worlds way before Supper Mario galaxy.

    yeah, the first time I saw galaxy I thought it had totally stolen the idea from R&C ( although after playing it its very differently implemented). 
     
    The space sections frighten me though because  they have always been the weakest parts of the ratchet games and the last game unforgiveably wouldnt let me control the spaceship with inverted controls meaning it's the ONLY R&C game i haven't got 100% of the skill points on . 
     
    I'm so glad sony have finally started stepping up its promotion of the game because I'm totally pumped for it now.

    looks like Mario Galaxy on crack. looks fucking awesome. and for those who say they are just copying ideas, shut up. because if you are a platformer fan, it shouldnt matter to you. as long as the game delivers its gonna be awesome.

    I never said they copied each other. Spherical worlds is something that was around even before R&C. games get inspired by other games, its only natural.

    Seems alright. As long as they limit the space exploration, eg. Im not sure I'd like it to be the only way to get from planet to planet, that (without a map/arrow) would could just end up resulting in aimless and tedious travelling. If its only available in certain zones (essentially like a 'spaceship' level), I think it could work well...

    Am I the only one who always gets bummed out whenever I have to play Clank levels? He's slow, bossing around the drones is boring, and it's just not nearly as much fun as when he's strapped to Ratchet's back and they are kicking ass together.
