Ratchet and Clank Future is a great addition to the series.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is the 5 game in the Ratchet and Clank Series, not including the PSP ratchet and clank game. Ratchet and Clank Future obviously takes place in the future but that does not mean everything changes due to future being in the title. Actually, Ratchet and Clank Future may be set in the future but It can be really hard tell just by playing the game. The game is very identical to the past games in the series, which isn’t a bad thing. Ratchet and Clank set off to stop Emperor Tachyon, the crown prince of the Cragmites, but before they can do that they need some answers first.

Ratchet and Clank Future plays very much like the other 4 games in the series. You still have a wrench for melee attacks, and you can still purchase many different weapons and upgrade them and level them up. You also can purchase gadgets such as the groovitron, which makes your enemies dance, and you can purchase armor. Also, there will be certain moments in the game where you will have to play as Clank in order to get something or activate something. While playing as Clank you can control the Zoni, mysterious robots that only clank can see and they help guide clank to his objective.

The graphics on the other hand have changed, in a really good way. The graphics in Ratchet and Clank Future look amazing. Everything you do in the game will look great and the characters look very detailed. I never saw the frame rate drop at all during my play through.

After beating the game you get the option of time travelling to the beginning of the game, or starting challenge mode. Challenge mode has increased difficulty but you get to keep all of your weapons from your first play through.

Overall, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a great game and should not be missed by anyone who owns a PS3.

So what is the secret of the Lombax? 0

The Ratchet series has been a staple of the PlayStation since the first entry came out on the PS2. And it was with that game that Insomniac cemented its importance as a part of Sony’s success, with it’s strong commitment to the platform; this is especially true in Japan, where the series is very popular, and continues to have strong sales with each new release. In any case, I’m sure this was a highly anticipated game for many PS3 owners; I know it was for me. One of the more shocking revelations...

Weakest of the Good Ratchet Games 0

It has been quite some time since I found myself absorbed in a Ratchet game. I’ve been burned-out on the series since Deadlocked. Even by the time I first played A Crack in Time, reportedly the best the series has to offer, I just didn’t feel like playing any more Ratchet games. Well, it must be time for me to dive back into this series here in the current generation’s fading years. I finally finished the first of the next-generation Ratchet games. And it gets this old Ratchet fan an approval, b...
