More than just another Ratchet game

I loved Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. It really is a wonderful game . I can play it for hours and not be bored.

The first thing youll notice is that this game looks beatiful, its one of the best looking ps3 games ive seen. All the levels look beatiful and unique. Tools of Destruction proves once again that Insomniac is one of the best out there when it comes to the tech behind the games. You can even enjoy just looking at the levels and seeing all the stuff that is going on around you while you beat up bad guys.

The gameplay takes it back to the earlier ratchet games, ditching most of the stuff from Deadlocked. The effects and sounds of the weapons make the weapons fun to use and make you feel like your weapons really have power. The enemies are not as varied as they were in the other games and the difficulty is scaled down. Some may find this a negative but I can understand that Insomniac was going for a more accessable and breezy experience. Upgrading weapons is back once again and gives the game some pretty good replay value along with all unlocables and collectibles.

The story has been improved although its kinda hurt by Insomniacs love of cliffhangers, although it is a improvment all in all. The story is much more serious this time since they are setting up a trilogy instead of having each game be a single story. The basic premise is the same, some bad guy is trying to take over the galaxy and your there to stop him but there are a few twists and turns that make the story more gripping than before.

This might be the best in the series and i think its  must have for any ps3 owner even if they havent played the series before.

So what is the secret of the Lombax? 0

The Ratchet series has been a staple of the PlayStation since the first entry came out on the PS2. And it was with that game that Insomniac cemented its importance as a part of Sony’s success, with it’s strong commitment to the platform; this is especially true in Japan, where the series is very popular, and continues to have strong sales with each new release. In any case, I’m sure this was a highly anticipated game for many PS3 owners; I know it was for me. One of the more shocking revelations...

Weakest of the Good Ratchet Games 0

It has been quite some time since I found myself absorbed in a Ratchet game. I’ve been burned-out on the series since Deadlocked. Even by the time I first played A Crack in Time, reportedly the best the series has to offer, I just didn’t feel like playing any more Ratchet games. Well, it must be time for me to dive back into this series here in the current generation’s fading years. I finally finished the first of the next-generation Ratchet games. And it gets this old Ratchet fan an approval, b...
