    Rations are a form of non-perishable food made to be eaten in the field typically by soldiers. They are made to last on a long time and to be easily prepared. They are made to be as nutritious as possible for they are pretty small compared to a full sized meal.

    Overview in video games

    Rations are made to be picked up by the player and eaten just as any other food item. They are so far featured in very few games the most famous being the Metal Gear Solid series.
