    Solid, if not groundbreaking. 0

Let's get this out of the way. Recore doesn't re-invent the wheel. Its load times are often too long, it's familiar as far as third person open world games go, and visually it has noticeable pop-in and less than high res textures. That said, it may still be well worth your time.Recore is an incredibly charming game, with a likable if small cast of characters, a delightful aesthetic, solid gameplay, and a steady pace. It had the misfortune of being a pretty good game in a year of outstanding games...

Fluid Gameplay Mechanics, Excellent Platforming, Refreshing Change of Pace 0

To put this in a format that will be most useful, I will address some of the more prominent criticisms I've seen, from a survey of other reviews: [1] I have been playing this game on PC (overclocked AMD 7970, overclocked i7-3770K, Solid State Drive) since its launch on 9/13/16, and all load times have been 15 seconds or less. After more than 15 hours, I've unexpectedly crashed to the desktop perhaps 4 times in total, and I was always able to quickly boot right back up and pick up very close to w...

More Like ReSnore (Presses Barrel of Gun Firmly Against Temple Creating an Indentation) 0

There are things I want to really like about ReCore. The movement and traversal mechanics can feel really good, there are interesting and unique elements to the combat, and there's a great deal of charm emanating from each robot frame that you'll take along with you on your journey. There's just so much fighting you along the way that it will eventually beat you into submission. The game is riddled with baffling design decisions, bugs and monotony. Being that ReCore was head up by Armature, a c...

A glow of a great idea wasted. 0

I think if it were not for Joule, I would have given up the Far Eden world. With an interesting story, charismatic characters, dynamic gameplay, with a difficulty that rescues nostalgic form the platform of old classics of the 80s and 90s, but one thing is certain, Recore is far from being a masterpiece that everyone expected , but still have the ability to have fun and at the same time be a very...

    Samus without her armor 0

ReCore is a fun third person action game that has as much platforming as a mario game and lock on targeting as a 3D Zelda game. Throw on a metroid skin and you have metroid before metroid prime 4 comes out. Keiji Inafune was executive producer. Some of his pedigree from the metroid era really shines through. Some of the expectations you have from a 2D metroid are here fully fleshed out in 3D. Shoot the correctly lit beacons or traverse an area in a measured amount of time. It’s pretty good...
