So IGN did this little reveal thing for this new trailer, I'm kinda confused as to why as it wasn't really that 'big'. Gives us a little more information about the plot though, that it is a prequel, and that it is connected to the first game by way of the character Dutch. I saw nothing on here about it so I figured I'd share it with you guys. Also kinda curious how you guys feel, I'm still not sure honestly.

I'm legitimately confused as to why the majority of the internet is surprise this is a prequel. Wasn't that announced with the first trailer? I seriously thought everyone knew that...because the a lot of the discussion was that you would probably play AS Dutch and the other members a la GTAV switching characters

Also, @dancinginfernal What exactly did IGN do that made it so special? R* announced last week on Twitter that today they would release a trailer.

Was Morgan ever mentioned in the first Red Dead Redemption? I know Dutch was, but can't remember any of the other characters and story beats from that plot line.

Also, those are some pretty good lookin' faces. That's my main takeaway, especially since I'm worried I hit Rockstar fatigue with GTA V. Then again, it would be four years since I played a game like this, so maybe I'll be ready by that point(?).

red dead 1 kind of end at the end of the wild west. So making a sequel with cowboys in the wild west might be difficult. With that said, prequels are in general a horrible idea. But i dont think applies to red dead
