I just finished the game (yes late too the party I know), anyway when looking at reviews and videos of this game i noticed that a lot of the footage I saw involved murder or fighting bounty hunters. The only bounty i ever got was from that one mission where you had to steal a horse.  Did anyone else play the way I do?

That's just mostly when you take on Bounty Hunting missions or shoot up a town until the sheriff or the US marshals show up.

I never shot up the town or anything, I did do bounty misisons though. They were fun.

Bounty Missions rewarded you with Honour, and were considered a good deed. If you killed your bounty instead of capture then you'd receive less Honour, but you'd get some non the less. I bet close to everyone played the game honourably anywhoo. The story, and John Marston as a character, was so obviously morally aligned with his tale of trying to redeem himself, that going around murdering innocent people or leaving them to be eaten by cannibals or what have you felt stupid and completely tore down the immersion.
 
The morality meter was completely pointless, and I wish it wasn't in there altogether.

You know that John was, in fact, a bounty hunter, right?

I tried playing honorably but like 1/4th into the game I had a total killcount of 500+.
Not to mention all the shit that came after Armadillo, John musta killed half the population in both countries before his quest was over.
Honorable my behind.
