Overview
Announced in 2006, Redwood Falls was revealed to be a horror FPS coming to the PS3. In the coming months, more details emerged regarding the game's features. Redwood Falls was set to feature a HUD-less display with an emphasis on immersion and decision making. Additionally, the world was intended to be open which would allow the player to travel the town and communicate with the various NPCs.
Enemy Design
A core feature of Redwood Falls was to be the enemy design. In the original concept, regenerating tissue allowed for enemies to survive the barrage of traditional weapons featured in the game. To stop an enemy, the player would have to get creative and use more nontraditional approaches, such as bear traps and Molotov cocktails.
Multiplayer
Along with a traditional single player campaign, Redwood Falls had a complimentary multiplayer component. The design pitted two different factions against each other with each having their own unique abilities. The Infected had the ability to regenerate health and an exclusive vision feature only available to them. The Clean-Up Squad had more powerful weapons at their disposal.
Cancellation
After months of no details, rumors began to swirl regarding a cancellation. In 2008, Kuju announced that the game was to be put "on hold" indefinitely, due to a lack of funding. No news regarding the project has since been announced, and it is presumed dead.
