Game looks really good to me, i did read that there arent that many memory mixing missions though..
Pumped!
Game » consists of 7 releases. Released Jun 04, 2013
I could have done without so much attempting at "humor" in that review, but the game looks pretty good. I wonder how good the PC port will be, though.
Here are some PC screenshots by Dead End Thrills (I think he's using 2x 670's for now)
I think it looks pretty good. Duncan Harris says supersampling at 4K is a card toaster... shock.
I really could not watch the whole video; this is a perfect example of someone trying way too hard to be funny. It's good to know that it's an overall positive review though.
Edit: BTW.

Well it looks good, but that's not all it takes for it to be a good port.
We will just have to see, I guess.
Dead End Thrills is lovely
@zenmastah: How did this guy get given a review copy?
@zeforgotten: Yeah we don't want a Red Faction Guerrilla like case on our hands again. It uses UE3 so if it's awful people will fix in 2 weeks.
I was listening to Weekend Confirmed this morning and they were saying that they're a little worried about the game. Some of the things they've been hearing from people who have played it have been a bit disappointing. Of course, this is all hearsay and unconfirmed speculation, but I fear the game may turn out to be a bit more divisive than envisioned. We'll see soon enough.
Oh snap, this game is coming out soon? I thought it was coming out in September or somewhere around fall.
"Comments may be held for uploader approval" I get the feeling that other people have attempted to tell him that his jokes are terrible before. The game itself looks pretty derivative and uninteresting in my opinion.
I understand about 1 in 20 references so the humour is like listening to an argument in a foreign language where occasionally you'll hear an english swear word.
Review copy my arse - most early reviews are a scene release or pirate bay 'preview copy'.

I couldn't tell if it was positive or not, every time he critiqued something he would compare it to the worst examples you could give. Like the voice acting, he would say it was as bad as Resident Evil, then just say out of nowhere that it was good. He did these terrible swings from bad to good for everything, which i assume was more for "humor" but helps very little when conveying the quality of something.
Dude should not be allowed to review anything.
There's literally a terrible joke in every sentence. And I don't know what this guy thinks "savant" means.
I'll wait for a semi-serious review in order to get a real judge of the game, but it looks alright so far.
And I agree with the thread consensus, that guy is so unfunny its hard to watch.
I heard that people like the art direction a lot but the fighting and a bit of the story stuff is not that great. But the world they created might be interesting enough for a purchase and doing something new with a new IP is always a plus. I'm gonna predict that I'll get a positive and content 3/5 but obviously wish that some stuff was better. (Cos' I Know You Love Random Guesses From People Who Haven't Played The Game...)
If your little YouTube channel that you use for game reviewing has 'Angry' or something similar in the title, I automatically don't give a shit. It's stupid. It's meant to pander to the human's curiosity to see someone scream, shout and curse like Let's Players (Pewdiepie). Now, maybe this guy doesn't do that, I don't know, I'm not gonna watch it, but the fact he has it in the title means he wants to grab that curious audience and NO man. nO.
@joeyravn: It's just a poor imitation of Yahtzee; but nothing particularly offensive.
More to the point the game appears to not have numerous ass shots which is a horrible disappointment; going to have to wait for a sale now.
IGN gave it a 5.9
Shame, it looked like a cool idea. I'll still check it out when it's like $20 though.
Here's the IGN Review. Hoping for better "remember" puns.
I'm expecting this'll actually turn out to be a fairly enjoyable B-tier game. Like an Enslaved or Alice Madness Returns level of quality. IGN's review actually doesn't seem that far off my expectations, really, hopefully I'll enjoy it a little more as a game itself, but it seems like there're things about it that are quite likeable in spite of its flaws and rough edges.
@meatball: Funny you mentioned Enslaved. Arthur Geis is reviewing this for Polygon and tweeted his surprise at embargo times being different for different regions. Said he wouldn't break NA embargo, but he was in a similar place with this as he was with Enslaved. HE reviewed that for IGN and gave it an 8; the actual review text is pretty clear as to why it scored that way.
I'm pretty excited for this.

Same here. I was just scrolling down to write the exact same thing you did so I'll just quote yours. This guy is pretty terrible. In the first few minutes, almost every single sentence is over twice its necessary length in order to throw out a bad joke. Yuck.
The problem with games like this is this is that I keep asking myself, in watching it, "what's supposed to be fun about this?"
I watch the main character shimmying and leaping from ledge to ledge for minutes at a time, knowing that the guy holding the controller is just pressing right, left, or up. Why is that fun? Because... what, the graphics are supposed to be so great? Shimmying is basically just walking from one end of the sreen to another SLOWER than could be done on the ground. What planet considers that fun?
This seems like a $10 Steam sale kind of game. I'm sure it won't take too long for it to get there either.
Ok, so now that there are a bunch of reviews out, can we ignore the video in the OP?
Anyway, it's pretty impressive how varied the review scores for this are; they seem to range from 4/10 to 9/10...
Since we all seem to be shouting out announcements...
Destructoid's is up!
6/10
(Also, is anyone else not surprised that while some others are calling it shallow and pretentious, Polygon really felt like it resonated with them? I'm not really anti-Polygon, but considering the stereotypes surrounding them, this just seems like such an appropriate and almost amusing response to the game.)
Destructoid gave it a 6 out of 10.
@humanity: I'm going to say that the GB review will be 3 stars.
