After playing the demo I can safely say, yeah, that feel alot like RE4. That's not really a bad thing, of course. The partner mechanic seems kinda neat and if it weren't a Japanese demo(Although the demo itself is in English) I'd try it out with a real friend rather than an AI.

I had already made a Japanese account in advance, but alas, my brother has already put us over the three-gold-trial limit. If anyone here would be gracious enough to allow me to recover your temporary Japanese tag onto my 360 and download the demo, well--I'd nominate you for sainthood. I'm just that kind of guy.

I played it, and without a Japanese account. It's actually very easy, but I'm not really allowed to say much here, even though Microsoft says it's fully within the terms of use considering it doesn't violate any of their restrictions. I'll just keep it down to saying it involved my normal, unmodded Xbox, something we all learned from the GH3 demo, and someone happening to mention it on NeoGaf (with a mod's permission, no less).

The demo is amazing, and I couldn't anymore excited for the game.

Would they really release a demo for the US for a game that is not coming out for several months? Usually at the most demos hit the month the game is coming out, or barely  a few weeks before. It would just seem odd to get it in the next week or so, with the game still being off until March.

Anyway, yeah, I'm loving it. It took a moment to grasp the controls again, as I, too, had last played RE4 on the Wii prior to this. After a playthrough or two of the demo, I couldn't love the new scheme any more. The strafing is brilliant--excellent addition.

When i create a Japanese account it says "Cannot download in your current location" when i try to download it.
When i try the CD method, it doesn't work.

The Demo with controller type D feels quite American.
So far the game is really nice. Feels a lot like RE4, which I think is a good thing.

I wish the aiming was more nimble, like Dead Space. Chris is just too damn slow.

I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil 4, but I was still underwhelmed by the demo. The presentation is top notch and the game will probably be great, but seriously, everything apart from the graphics, the AI and the Co-Op is actually worse than Resident Evil 4.
The new item management is absolutely useless in combat situations. Maybe they were aiming for realism, but it's just bad.

Co-Op is great and all, but they really, really, really need to tweak the controls and item/partner management. Maybe enter some sort of slow motion mode whenever you're in a menu? Freely mappable buttons? Neat demo, but the general reception in the gaming community shows that there's definatly work to be done before this is released.

So, does the CD method works good? I haven't tried it because I'm scared it may fuck my X360. D: Has anyone tried it?

It works fine. I burned it on a dvd though since that's all I had lying around.

I actually liked it , I can not wait to buy the full version on March

The CD part is simple. i walked my friend through it, and he never did any of this before.

simple steps - 

- After you download all 5 parts from the link, put them all in the SAME folder in your computer and ONLY extract the first one.

- the extraction will give you a folder called "content", just burn that FOLDER into a disc.

- Put the Disc into the 360 (it'll come up as a Mixed media disc), while the disc is in your 360, go to your demo section and itll be there.

I need help with the rar files, I have all of them downloaded but there isn't an option to extract them and message box says I need to select a program from a list to open it. HELP!

I really enjoyed the demo and can't wait. I got used to the controls and I ended up having a great time even though I couldn't beat the stupid chainsaw guy.

Never mind I figured it out, I need to download WinRAR to extract the files.

Word of caution to people who do the disk download thing, make sure to disconnect yourself from Xbox Live when playing the Demo just incase MS decides to start banning people.

OMG wasnt expecting these graphics. I actually like the controls, and this is coming from someone that just clocked gears2 on insane, RE5 gives you shit all ammo so you want your shots to count which adds to thrills. It feels oddly refreshing and old school japanese horror at the same time, with the best shotgun body reaction ive ever seen. And noone got banned during the GH3 demo downloads, this is legal. I played it off a disk and i dont have a modded xbox, I don't see why people would get banned for playing a demo thats supposed to get you to buy their game...which it totally does.

CD Method works fine make sure you are burning as data disc as well

I couldn't get any of my CD's or DVD's to actually work. And every burning program out there other than Nero is useless... So I didn't get it to work. On the upside I now have the option to purchase Puyo Pop fever or someshit. And I got 112 mb's of free content for a stupid dating sim I think.

ok so i burnt a disk, but my xbox has a hard time reading disks sumtimes

my question is will this have an effect cause the disk is just a CD-R plus its only 700mb and the folder "Content" is a 702mb file (aint that a bitch!)
it wrote the file onto it and said it was succesful but i cant help but think is it cos my xbox is rubbish or coz that extra 2mb might be missing

also, im trying to load the cd whalst the dashboard is displaying the open tray tab in "my xbox" could sum1 explain how the message will look here once
the disk is loaded? cause it keeps saying "open tray" everytime i try to load it due to my xbox being a bag of shit,.... well,... a box of shit.

my final question is, if i tryed to download the demo thru the japanese account i have and was succsessful in downloading it but to late because
capcom put the region lock on,... so now i have the demo on my harddrive,... then i try to play the disk ive burned the demo onto,...
should i delete the japanese version of the demo before trying the disk method???
