    Mini Review: Knockoff Double Dragon

This game can be most compared to Ku Fu from the NES days with a few extra tidbits added in. You can run around punching/kicking out enemies to make it to the end of the area while picking up extra weapons along the way like nun chucks or even a pistol. They don't last very long but they do add some variety to the gameplay. Also if you get lucky your enemy will be stunned which allows you to preform a special move which is nice but after seeing all 8 they might get old after a while. The final bit of gameplay to discuss would be dragon rage which lets you punch and kick faster than before with a minor health boost. So its pretty much your ahh I'm screwed lets pull out the big guns now power.

Ah now the story isn't much to look at but the motion comic cut scenes work very well. About all you need to know is that their master gets killed and the bad guys capture their sister. So they both go off to rescue her and take revenge on the one that did this to them. The game is split up into 24 levels with minigames thrown in after every 6 levels. They add some extra things to do but they don't add much to the over arching game since finding 15 vases or rush to the end of the level aren't very replayable. After every 3-6 levels you'll also face a boss which usually means that you must figure out his pattern to beat him without any problems. Not that they are that hard even if you do get hit since I didn't have any problems beating the game on normal.

This game has some coop action that lets you play through the game with your friend localy but no online play. Which could add a few extra hours of fun. Some final comments I have is that the game is fun to play through but I don't think everyone would like this type of game. The more you remember the classics the better you'll like it. At least in my opinion. It is also quite short at uh 3-4 hours I think. If you want a game that lets you beat down a few hundred dudes for revenge then this game might be for you.
