Overview
Ridge Racer Unbounded is the ninth installment in the popular Ridge Racer (Franchise) franchise, excluding handheld and arcade-only iterations. It was developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the developers behind FlatOut (Game). The game takes the series in a new direction, focusing on environmental damage similar to what is found in Split/Second. The game is set in "Shatter Bay" and stars a street racer who climbs the ranks of of the local street racing gang. Like in Split/Second, you'll destroy the environment by earning "Damage Points" by drifting and taking the lead. You can then use said points to open short cuts and crush your opponents with the environment.
