Ring Fit Adventure is an on-rails turn-based RPG played with the new Ring-Con and Leg Strap accessory for Nintendo Switch. Developed in Nintendo EPD's Group 4, the experimentally-minded division behind Nintendo Labo - but also previously 1-2-Switch, Brain Age and Miitopia.
The game is structured into an adventure mode with around 20 different worlds, taking the player on a quest to defeat the evil bodybuilding dragon Dragaux, as well as a distinct selection of mini-games and more traditional exercises. In the adventure mode, players perform actions using the Ring-Con and leg movement to pass obstacles and eventually also win turn-based battles against enemy monsters. These turn-based battles have the players do various exercises against the enemies. The exercises are all based on real-world fitness exercises and the device can be calibrated to suit the player's needs.
