    Rise of the Tomb Raider

To be honest right up front , the 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider was the first TR game I had ever played. I thouroughly devoured that game, beating it multiple times and on different platforms and difficulties. I came at this game with high hopes, probably a little unfairley high, but that said overall I Enjoyed Rise of The Tomb Raider .

The aspects I loved about the reboot are still in place, the crafting (satisfyingly improved), the challenge tombs, Lauras inner dialouge and interaction between her loved ones, and the exploration of the games beautiful environments.

combat also feels very similar but subtly refined , I noticed in order to thrive in combat patience is key and movement around the terrain is key to successfully conquering some of the more frantic feeling encounters. Which in the late game seem constant. On that note I'd recomend bumping the difficulty up one notch over normal for veteran action fans. Combat can be a bit repetive on the normal difficulty.

My main complaint with Laura's latest adventure was the lack of personal relationships that were a key aspect of the reboot. The plot of this game seems a bit forced and hard to relate to Laura as we see very few close relationships between Laura and the other characters. That said the story did present entertaining and somewhat intricate bit. Not saying the 2013 reboot was perfect but I was rooting for Laura more in her last adventure. The issues i had with this games story i have with most game stories. Theres a bad guy and you better beat 'em!

So overall i really liked this game it is a graphics powerhouse, it has a deeper crafting element than the previous title, the landscapes are lush and varied, the enemies seem very similar to that which we faced before but i can live with that, and there is alot of meat to sink your teeth into in Lauras latest adventure (both figurativly and literally, you can slaughter hundreds of animals for them precious hides). The thrills come frequent and the down time offers interesting exploration opportunities.

I cant recommend this game enough for fans of the previous title or just action adventure games in general . THIS GAME IS SOLID

Still surviving, still great fun 0

"We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself, the means of inspiration and survival." -Winston Churchill With the release of the excellent 2013 Tomb Raider reboot we witnessed Lara Croft go through growing pains both inside and outside the game world. Even Nathan Drake would be surprised at how the same media so intent on fighting for gender equality would take the game to task over the most miniscule of details. Clouded in arbitrary controversy that questioned everything from how pretty t...

An incredibly fun adventure done right 0

Rise of the Tomb Raider is perhaps the most fun I've had with a game of this type since Uncharted 2, if not ever. In many ways it feels not only like a truly proper evolution of the first game; better in every single way it needed to be, but its gotten away from direct Uncharted comparisons and is competently offering its own kind of experience, at least regarding gameplay with a refinement and confidence I really hope continues to be expanded on even further in the next follow up as I absolutel...
