Riverwood

Overview

Riverwood is a small town located northeast of Helgen. It is the town closest to Helgen, which is where The Dragonborn escaped from imprisonment so chances are high that it is the first place Dragonborn will visit. There is a sawmill, blacksmith, general store (the Riverwood Trader) and an inn (the Sleeping Giant Inn.)

Notable Inhabitants

• Hod and Gerdur run the mill. Hod will provide you with work at the mill, a good source of income early in the game. Gerdur's family founded Riverwood, and has lived there for multiple generations. Gerdur is a staunch supporter of the Stormcloaks, and the sister of Ralof.
• Alvor and Sigrid run the blacksmith. Alvor will provide you with some tips and materials for blacksmithing, teaching you how to craft and upgrade an iron dagger and a hide helm. Alvor is a staunch supporter of the Empire, and the uncle of Hadvar.
• Camilla and Lucan Valerius run the Riverwood Trader, a general store. The Riverwood Trader has recently ran into some bandit trouble, and Lucan could use any help he could get.
• Faendal is a Bosmer archery trainer and potential companion who works at the mill. He's currently attempting to win Camilla's heart, much to the chagrin of Sven, the local bard.
• Orgnar and Delphine are the proprietors of the Sleeping Giant Inn.
