The open road is your pallete, a baseball bat your paintbrush
The thing that will always stands out about this game to me is how immersive it is, you really get a sense of who you are up against as they take little verbal digs at you before the race. Then, of course, the race begins.
As a racing game its above average for the times, the scrolling is fairly smooth and it certainly has the speed and control, and you will need the control you can get as you weave in and out traffic, livestock and various other hazards.
Not to mention the other rashers.
This game is bit on expression, you can choose to kick punch or backhand your rivals or just snatch a weapon and wipe them out completley.
My personally favorate is knocking some one off there bike while ramped 20ft in the air , its accounted for and works. Its clear the developers knew they were on to something fun here and really went the extra yard with the characterization, the police (that can end your race if they catch you laying on your back) even the password system hints at something thats alot more immersive than your average racing game.
