We have gotten to the point where music games are recommending what songs are good to play for children. With the release of LEGO Rock Band, Harmonix has set up a ratings system to determine what songs you can play in LEGO Rock Band. Some of the ratings for certain songs are a little off. Why can't I play Everlong or Learn To Fly in LEGO Rock Band, but I can play Word Forward, a song that drops multiple f-bombs? Some ratings I highly agree with at the same time, though, like All My Life. You cannot play that in LEGO. Good! It's a song about sex and there are many innuendos made throughout the song. Good for you Harmonix for knowing that. 
 
What do you people think of this? Does it make sense? Can you or can't you play some of your favorite songs in LEGO Rock Band because of the restriction?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you can't play those two Foo Fighters songs? Really? That's just freaking stupid. 
  
I appreciate that they're trying to appeal to kids, but that just doesn't make sense if they're saying THOSE songs are bad.

The major flaw with the rating system is any song that refers to "God" or "Jesus" is marked as Supervision Recommended, which means it won't be in Lego: Rock Band. Because of this, Kid friendly songs like "Here It Goes Again" and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" won't make the cut, but other songs like the song you mentioned or songs the kids won't even know will make it into the game.
 
Also you can't play Everlong because RB2 doesn't export yet ;)

A young child is not gonna pick up on an innuendo. Unless there is profanity in the song (which there won't be because Rock Band doesn't allow ANY profanity whatsoever in their tracks) then I see no harm in allowing anyone of any age being able to play them.
