They just announced this out of the blue via Twitter:

Rush's "Subdivisions" and Doors songs now available as singles for DLC! Link coming soon!!

Easily one of my favorite Rush songs. I own all the others already, so I'll definitely jump on this one as soon as it's up. I'm looking at the music store now though, and it aint up.  :(

    Who else is excited?

    EDIT:
I meant to write this update a while ago, but dang, Subdivisions on Pro-Drums is a killer on the right arm. I actually cued the song up to play twice in a row and my right arm was already exhausted from the first play. It's redonk-u-lous!  (I did make it through the second play though. Second wind for my arm, I guess.  :P)

I am totally playing keyboard AND bass the first time I play it. Now to go listen to every live version of it that I have until the download is up. :D

@JJWeatherman: Also, I'm from Toronto. And I went to the same high school as Rush. So I guess I'm even more so of a fan of that song.

They need to make a Rush: Rock Band.  That might be the only rhythm game I will buy.

I would be the first person to say "FUCK YES" before you could even finish that sentence. And now that they added the keyboard to the game, I think this is a realistic possibility.  Rush has just SO MANY GOD DAMN SONGS. And the fact that they're actually GOOD means that every single song that has a keyboard in it will also have bad ass guitar and drum parts (Subdivisions probably the only one with bass as well though).

The one thing holding it back I think? The fact that Rush is once again peaking. They're currently working on an album, and will once again be touring for the next two years. Yeah, Harmonix could do 98% of the leg work just fine without them. But c'mon, if you're making a Rush game you gotta do SOMETHING over the top with the drums. So I would think that they would at the very least need to work with Neil's drum tech, if not Neil himself. Not something possible when they are busy bees.

Clearly I've already put a lot of thought into this...

Good point Shaggy. Maybe they can start by adding in proper keyboard support to the songs they already have in there. Tom Sawyer demands it!

@FunkasaurusRex: Truth. I think Camera Eye kinda needs it more though. That's a song that suffers from the "Geddy plays bass and keyboard, and that's a heavy synth song" thing.

This as well as Pearl Jam: Rock Band, and I could rest in peace. I still have faith in the Live Pearl Jam game, especially since the implementation of keys.

That would be badass, even though Rock Band is already basically Pearl Jam Rock Band thanks to the bajillion or so downloadable Pearl Jam Songs. I'm still waiting on Dream Theater Rock Band, but I know in my heart of hearts that it'll probably never happen...

Dream Theater has a lot of good songs. I hope we at least get some more DLC from them.

And it's only two Pearl Jam albums on the Music Store (Plus some live tracks). There's so many great songs left to include!

If they bring me anything from Vs. then they can take my soul in return. And yeah, Dream Theater have a truckload of great songs, the ones they have in Rock Band are definitely some of their heavier ones. I wouldn't mind some more laid-back stuff from them.

@JJWeatherman: DAMN YOOOOOU!!! I played it about 20 minutes ago when I woke up (my alarm with a Rush CD decided to randomly play Subdivisions today too :D ). I'll try to play it one more time before I go to class. Keys + bass or bust. Unfortunately that have one insignificant note (that I've never heard before...) that plays for the bass during the synth parts, so I'll 2 star bass every time I play like that (thank GOD for no fail mode though).

@JJWeatherman: But I suck at drums. The Ion kit would be an especially poor investment. I might be in denial, but I'm holding out for Rush Rock Band. Then I'll just blow all my money on it's 10+ piece set.

@SlashseveN303: Same. I'm tempted to drop like, 50 bones on just songs. This way I'll have an ass load of songs I'll want to play all the time, instead of just a handful of songs (not including mah Rush) from game to game.

So I just played this cold turkey on pro medium. I only got 67% and 2 stars, but I didn't feel over whelmed at any point. I felt pretty good playing it at first as well, but I started to go all over the place when it wanted me to... like, go from the green keys to the yellow ones. If they keys are right around one another I can find them fairly well, but when I have to slide across I'm lost.
