I know i personally have fallen in love with Bang Camaro and everything they do since i heard them on Rock Band. Another friend of mine never listened to metallica, and after getting the metallica pack hes hooked. Anyone else get into new music through Rock Band, and if so, what band?

I bought the Sam's Town album by The Killers because of Rockband and GH3. I just couldn't get "When You Were Young" out of my head...

I also got a few single songs via iTunes because of these two games.

Rock Band got me into a lot of bands. Boston, Rush, The Police, The Ramones...off the top of my head, at least.

Hopefully RB 2 will have the same effect, especially since I haven't even heard of half of those bands.

Definitely Coheed and Cambria.  I hated Welcome Home when I first heard it but it grew on me and now their one of  my favorite bands.  Oh yeah, and Boston.

A lot of the bands that I like in RB I was already into, such as Boston. But I was surprised by some of the songs I learned to love from RB only to go find more music by them and be disappointed. Such as 'Blackhole Sun' I really like, but I don't like too much of the other soundgarden stuff.

While it is not cool to say on the internet and all, I actually like paramore and other 'emo' stuff pretty catchy and I find most of the 70's stuff still lame.

Vagiant, F the Kells on GH was cool but as a fan of bands like the Distillers, I tripped out hearing Seven in the menu before unlocking it.

Weezer's inclusion in GH3 and Rock Band helped me get into all of their music. I like Queens of the Stone Age, too. There are a ton of individual songs I love from all of these rhythm games, but just don't like the artists other work or just haven't listened to their other stuff yet.

My roommate still makes fun of me for buying Deep Purple's Greatest Hits due to Rock Band. I generally dislike classic rock.

As for the others that I dug into from playing their songs too much in game, I'd say - Coheed & Cambria and Judas Priest.

My love for Bang Camaro has only increased from the game, but I blame GH2 for getting me into them.

I ordered the Bang Camaro CD off of their website because of GH2 (I know, not RB, but they were in it).  I can't wait to see what their new material is like!

It didn't introduce me to Boston or Rush, but "reminded" me of these great bands and I got some more of their music as well.

Coheed and Cambria.  Great band I'd never heard of before.  Their newest two records are quite good.

I also may pick up some more Queens of the Stone Age as a result of Rock Band.  I have their first album, but may buy more.   They have a great drummer.

After downloading Afterlife from A7X I really started to dig them... granted I only listened to a few songs on Youtube. It also made me go back get Beast and the Harlot.

    Oh and The Who.

I had already known of NIN, but only their new stuff, so the DLC packs and the unique industrial sound got me into Reznor as a whole.
