Rock Band... still no where to be seen in Asia.

    Yup...
Rock Band's still not officially released in Asia (I'm in Singapore BTW)
The only way to get it is to import the PS3 version which costs way too much than what I'm prepared to pay
not only that, there's the hassle of trying to figure how to get DLC from the US Playstation Network...
    Man this sucks ass....

You're telling me. We don't have it down here in Australia yet either.
It kind of annoys me that they're working on a sequel when there is still a sizable chunk of people out there that haven't even played the original yet.
But what can ya do, eh?

Yeah im in australia aswell and i think what theyve done is just shafted us with the original RB and are just gonna start us with RB2, on the ebgames site it says rock band is supposed to be released here in september and doesn't that fall around the time number 2 comes out in the states?

I have a gut feeling that GH: WT will come out in Australia before Rock Band, I work in JB and even though we have the date of septemeber, I haven't been able to fully comfirm it with anyone at EA. Good to know that the instruments are compatible though, means I don't have to double up.  I like the Guitar Hero Drums heaps better.

Yeah... Seems like GH has been more up-to-date with their releases...
If that's the case, then I say screw RB!
I'm all for GH: World Tour!
I agree with Dovey, the drums do seem cooler...
Just think EA dropped the ball on this one... could have earned tons of money if they had got their shit together
and if they think they can just release RB1 thinking that they can pull one on us then they can kiss my ass!

I imported it on the ps3 and I'm screwed because i can't download from the US store.
So I have to wait until september to find out if the EU store tracks will work with the game.
But at least i didn't get screwed on the price.

It's cause they don't have music in Asia.

And in Australia the drums would fall apart cause the magnetism is different in the southern hemisphere

Yeah it totally sucks, I've been waiting for it to come overseas like Guitar Hero. No news so far. I'm guessing I'll be able to buy Guitar Hero:World Tour before Rock Band 1 or 2 ever make it over here, Which totally sucks.

Yea i am sick to death or Rock Band getting delayed in Aus, i am giving up and importing, thanks to the weak american dollar at the moment you can buy it from gamestop or barnes and noble for probably cheaper than it will retail down here anyways, shipping is surprisingly reasonable. I've tried playing Guitar hero while waiting but it just doesn't cut it anymore, Guitar Hero dropped the ball big time on downloadable content which is what i'm looking forward to most in Rock Band, as pissed as i am about Rock Band not here and they're releasing a sequel soon its probably got nothing to do with the guys who actually make the game

Isn't there a Rock Band: Japan coming out though? But it's totally different because its mainly J pop and J rock, so it probably won't cater to the rest of Asia.
