    This guy says
This guy says "it's a deal worth dying for!"
I'm still not sure how I feel about recommending the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. With each patch, though, it's gotten closer and closer to being the same sort of "way better than the console version" edition that San Andreas, Vice City, and GTA III were. And with this week's Steam sale, maybe the risk gets a lot easier to manage, too.

This weekend, all of the Rockstar games that are up on Steam are 30 percent off, including the big bundle pack that lets you get all of them for $70, instead of the $99.99 you'd normally have to spend. I already own too many of these games on the PC to want to go that route, but I'm still of the mind that people who don't own either of the Max Payne games can't go wrong, with the two games running $6.99 each.

Not a bad deal, I'm becoming a big fan of these weekend sales. I ended up playing R6 Vegas 2 only because it was half price, and a friend bought it as well. In this case...I own too many of the titles for my PS2/PS3 to have an interest in buying the PC versions. Hopefully something next weekend will catch my eye.

Not only are both Max Payne games $6.99 each, but if you search for "Max Payne" there's a bundle with both Max Payne 1 and 2 for $10.49.

Damn, I already bought the Rockstar pack full-price a while ago. I guess I could buy GTA IV again, since my 360 disk got ruined.

I hate it when Rockstar gets credit for Max Payne.

    Oh well, good deal.

Until Rockstar start doing good PC ports I'm staying away from anything other than new GTA games.

Aargh. My system is lightyears from running GTAIV, yet I feel I should buy it to save a few future bucks. Damn you Steam!

So the standard price for GTAIV is 49.99€, 30% off and it's 34.99€... I can get a physical copy for 35.99€. Steam, blow it out your ass.

6.99 games are ok though. Which of course reminds me that they're converting $6.99 to 6.99€. Apparently VAT is included though, so, no biggie, or so it would appear.. No country on this planet pays 31% tax... So we're paying 6% more than we should, minimum.

Yeah, that is so ferociously worth it. If you don't own the games shortly after knowing about this you're quite frankly, a giant poopyhead.

People should play Max Payne, Steam's a great way to easily get old games for dirt cheap (you'd be surprised how cheap they sell Publisher bundles).

I have Max Payne on both PS2 and Steam. Totally worth it both times.

Since I already bought the whole Rockstar collection awhile back, there's no need to do it again. I should probably think about buying Grand Theft Auto IV though. I'm going to skip Bully, because I'm probably better off getting the PS2 version.

Also bought Manhunt.  Dunno why.  I'm sure I can get at least $7 worth of fun out of it.

I might pick up Vice City again, that's like the only good game in the pack besides GTA III and IV. I bought the Max Payne's at another point in time, those games suck. As do half of the other Rockstar titles in that collection. For those of you thinking to buy the full pack, consider just getting your favorites.

If only STEAM allowed people to enter their GTA4 cd key for activation. There are websites selling legal GTA4 keys for 25 bucks.

Question! Does the Steam version of GTA 4 have the Live achievements, or just Steam achievements? This is a make-or-break question. THanks.

I'm begining to hate steam.  Well, more accuractely my credit card is.  Max Payne for £4.19?  Deal.  They're awesome games.  This coming for the guy who choked up an extra £10 to get the rest of the Total War series when he pre-ordered Empire.  Man I just bought X-Com for the.... 5th time because Steam had a kickass deal.  When did I become such a mental shopaholic?

Er, sorry for the delay. Live achievements only. They should totally add Steamworks achievements as well. I'd love to get achievements for Steam and Xbox Live at the same time. :)
