You have Mario that is the face of Nintendo.  You have Master Chief as the face of the xbox, and Sony doesn't really have a true face to it.  Some would say that Solid Snake would be, but his story is over now.  I think the Sackboy should be the face of the PS3, because you can't help but smile every time you look at him, and smiling means $$$, look at nintendo :)

Only problem is that Sackboy doesn't have a definitive look, people dress him up in all kinds of shit. Mario just basically changes colors sometimes and Master Chief always looks the same.

Sony definitely needs a face like Nintendo and Microsoft and Sackboy seems good enough to be that face.

Sackboy is a perfect choice for the face of PS3

Sackboy is good, but you have to be really sure LBP or its sequels won't go multiplatform. Mario is developed by nintendo, and Microsoft owns the rights to Master Chief, so Sony needs to be sure before they ride with it.

I think sony has and always will have multiple faces PSone they had Spyro, Crash, and Snake.  PS2 had Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Snake, and Kratos.  The PS3 has Sackboy, Nathan Hale, Nathan Drake, Snake, Ratchet and Clank, and Kratos.
