At that exact moment the executive jumped on the table and began a show tune gradually working his way around the building convincing everyone to buy the Saints row IP through song. Fifteen minutes later the entire building had made their way to the main lobby through the natural progression of the song. Finally, the song had ended and silence protruded throughout the building for a moment. Almost as if it had been staged, a phone rang at reception. Receptionist, "Boss! We just got word that someone is on their way to buy the Saints Row Franchise!" The boss looked at the one of the interns and said with a determined face." You, what's you're name?" Intern," Johnny, Johnny 5." Executive," Johnny, You've got to get their before it's too late. You're our only chance." Assistant Johnny 5," All right boss, after all I am a S.A.I.N.T." At that moment Johnny burst through the doors. He was on his way to become a hero.

I hate to say it but honestly.... probably Rockstar. They make great open world games and this one is different enough from GTA that they can keep both and let this one remain the silly insane thing it is while they continue to do their serious crime drama stuff with GTA.

It seems to be decided; it's gone to Koch Media, owners of Deep Silver, makers of Dead Island. Yes, Koch is bigger than Deep Silver.

There were no jokes about the guys who put out a game with a big ol' torso putting out a game with a big ol' dildo in this thread, so I'm not giving any of you psychic points for getting it right. Still, I wish most of you had been right.

Seriously? Why am I not surprised that a series like Saints Row gets handed off to Koch media. That is if I'm pronouncing that right of course :P.

I don't know how I feel about the company that made the sort-of-fun-but-seriously-janky Dead Island picking up Volition. If they're kept entirely indepdendant and Koch is literally just buying up a whole development house to keep making awesome stuff, then that's fantastic. I don't want to see them just become a slave to the existing development, though. Or worse -- to use Volition as a "pump out the shit for the shitty IP contracts we get" and turn them into the company known for making shitty DS shovelware or something.

Also, if Koch has anything to do with the Koch Brothers, then that would suck, too .. . . but I don't think they do.
