In a wee month "Be A Man! Samurai School! Japan, This is What's Called Being a Man!" is hitting Japanese store-shelves.

Behind this long title is an upcoming fighting game from Bandai Namco.

It's based on an old 80's anime about an all-boys school of delinquents, that get into all sorts of wacky hi-jinks and fights as they battle to become real men and leave their youth behind!

This game looks to play in the style of 3D arena fighters like those Naruto games and those Dragonball games, which isn't really my personal favorite, but might still be worth checking out for the sheer ridiculousness.

Despite it coming out for the PlayStation 3 in Japan on the 27th of February, I've yet to see any footage of it on the front page of Giant Bomb: The Premiere Video Game site on the internet, so let's rectify that with some trailers! Yeah!

The game will also be available in a special edition where you can get a figure of the manly Baron Dino that you can display proudly on your shelf, to remind everyone about how manly you are! Such firm buttock detail!

I have no idea what this is but I love it anyway.

As long as this game has as many Cromartie High references as possible, then I'm all for it.

More special editions of games need pop-up books.

I like how they've written「凛々しい表情」beside the ass instead of the face... This art style reminds me a lot of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I wonder if they're related in some way.

A group of guys (a comedy troupe I guess?) have decided to team up with PlayStation and reenact some of the "trials" of the game for some reason.

The game is out and I had a go at it on Twitch yesterday.

I'm surprised that it's not actually a vs fighting game, but a singleplayer game where you participate in daily high-school life which consists of fighting and doing manly things.

There's some kind of asynchronous multiplayer where you make your own stages with various Deception-style hazards, upload to a server and then other players will be challenged randomly on it. I haven't quite figured out yet how you do that.
