Game » consists of 3 releases. Released Feb 27, 2003

A Playstation 2 remake of the first entry in the Sakura Taisen series, using updated game mechanics introduced in 3 and 4.

Can this game get a modern rerelease?

Honestly I don't see what the issue is, outside of not having a translation in a lot of languages, it's a PS2 game and it should be relatively easy to rerelease. Plus many people outside Asia have not gotten a chance to experience the first game. I think that this would be an excellent opportunity, with how many rereleases of old games there are, to finally give this one a go on modern platforms. Here's hoping SEGA can do that.

The issue probably is that noone wants to spend a dime on a rerelease of a game that potentially 5-10 people might potentially be interested in. 25 year old anime bullshit with a 5 word japanese title isnt worth anyones time. If you want to play it again, just emulate it

Well, RGG and Altus are the only divisions getting funding over at SEGA. 2020 soft reboot did well but not that well.
