Coins have long been used in video games as both a form of currency and as a means of accruing points.
A spaceship is a vehicle capable of traversing the vacuum of space.
Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.
A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.
A valuable item that is highly sought after, often used as a reward or incentive to complete objectives. Also used as a currency in many role-playing games.
A brick is a block of ceramic material used in masonry construction, laid using mortar.
Bubbles help you float, they can help you see things in a magnified way. Bubbles can also be your best of friend, which is why they should be handled with only the softest of breath.
A wand is a hand held stick or a rod that's used in casting spells or harnessing magical powers.
Doors are a common object in most video games, as well as the keys and objects needed to open them. From role playing to shooters, doors are an important component of many games.
A ball of hot flickering fire. Usually thrown from the hero's hand into the squealing face of the enemy.
The premier choice in your defensive needs. A great companion for any one handed sword, which in addition to blocking can be used for advanced maneuvers like Shield Bashes.
Light, colourful and generally bigger than most other recreational balls.
A bag, usually cloth, containing a whole lot of money.
As a modern commodity, toilets have been portrayed very well in video games over the years.
A plastic card used for pre-authorizing the payment of goods or services, based on the cardholders credit/borrowing level. Credit cards accrue interest on purchases until the cardholder can deposit money into the account. Debit cards withdraw existing funds for immediate payment.
A telephone is a device used to communicate verbally with another person over a long distance. Audio signals travel to and from both phones involved, allowing the users to hold a conversation in real-time.
The banana is a fruit that is commonly seen in video games, particularly those with animals as main characters. It is famous for its sweet taste and affiliation with primates.
An article of clothing that rests on top of one's head.
Used in puzzle games to be broken, moved, or matched by color, shape and size. Also used in many early 3D polygonal games. Not to be confused with Squares or Cubes.
Coriolis Stations are cuboctahedron-shaped space stations, particularly common in the Elite games and Elite clones.
A space-time tunnel that connects two distant locations in space.
A space-based habitat, frequently providing living spaces, scientific facilities, or for defensive purposes.
A body that orbits around a star, maintains hydrostatic equilibrium, and clears its area of other celestial bodies.
A series of links, typically of metal, that hold objects together, restrain them, or transmit mechanical power.
A vine is a plant that climbs or trails a flexible stem. In video game usage, they are plants that the player can climb or use to swing across something. They are most commonly used in jungle settings.
Frozen water that can be a hazard to the player or used as a weapon.
Umbrellas are found in all sorts of games. They appear as items to protect against rain and as weapons, among other uses.
A tube or hollow cylinder for the conveyance of fluid, gas, and sometimes other materials.
The Bible is the central text of the Christian faith.
A tube that helps to breathe underwater.
