Sanitarium was a great adventure game for its time. It didn't stand out graphically, and the gameplay was pretty standard for 1998, but the story and environments made it well worth a playthrough.At the beginning of the game, you wake up in an abandoned, run-down insane asylum. The rest of the game is spent discovering who you are, how you came to be in the sanitarium, and more importantly, what is real and what isn't. An adventure of the mind 0
I'm not fond of point&click adventure games. Well, let me rephrase that; I'm not fond of playing point&click adventure games. The adventure genre boasts some of the best writing in the industry, yet the mechanics of the genre are generally so poor that it's impossible to overlook them. Question my analytical ability if you wish, but my response to these types of games are to have GameFaqs running in the background, just waiting for me to tab out of the game, something that is an absolute...

An average adventure game. 0
Although I love adventure games this game never really appealed to me when I was looking at screenshots. It took me years to eventually break down and buy it and I did it based on the critical acclaim it was getting on this site mainly and I seriously can't see what is so great about it. The graphics look good when everything is static but once you start moving everything falls apart. This game surely has some of the worst animations ever made, specifically the walking animation.
