    Overview

A minor devil in comparison to Astaroth, but still a major antagonist, Satan is tasked to kidnap Princess Prin Prin, starting off Sir Arthur's journey. He is fought twice in the original Ghosts 'N Goblins, as the last two boss challenges before Astaroth. He flies around throwing shuriken, and is able to block Arthur's shots with his wings. In his second fight, he is accompanied by a duplicate. Satan is also the instigator who "devisut" the "trap" forcing players to go through the game twice to truly beat it.

Satan returns in Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts, where he repeats his abduction of Prin Prin. However, he is not fought this time.

Arthur faces Satan again at last in Ghosts 'N Goblins Resurrection. He is the fifth boss and is much larger than he was before, and has a much more intimidating appearance. He employs several new tricks with his shuriken, including swirling them around him before firing them and firing multiple in a spread. He can also conjure up a large spherical projectiles and change his palette to blue and back several times during the fight.
