The Scarlet Devil Mansion is the large European-style home of Remilia and Flandre Scarlet in Gensokyo. It's main features are the small number of windows (to keep the light out) and a clock tower that only rings at night. The witch Patchouli Knowledge, a long-time friend of Remilia, resides in the library and acts as a librarian and scholar. Additionally, it houses a large number of maids that live and work in the mansion, their responsibilities comprise of cooking, cleaning and guarding the premises. The more notable attendants include:
