    History

    Street Fighter II opened with two men fighting, before the camera panned up to the top of a building with the logo. Early sources such as official Capcom mooks (All About Capcom, All About Street Fighter) indicated that these two were Joe and Mike from the first Street Fighter. However, the supplemental Street Fighter V site Street Fighter V Character Encyclopedia gave these two redesigns and indicated their names were Scott and Max, respectively.
